Presidential Ambassadors

Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµÍø's (CWI) Presidential Ambassadors program promotes the positive image of CWI by engaging a select group of student leaders to represent the CWI student body at designated events sponsored by the Office of the President, Marketing and Communications, and Enrollment and Student Services. 

A diverse group of students who represent CWI on a volunteer basis, Presidential Ambassadors promote a public understanding of the College by sharing their own CWI experiences and encourage lifelong involvement with the College.

Why Should I Apply?

Apply to be an Ambassador

Presidential Ambassadors are required to participate in events and tours with a minimum of 20 hours per semester.

Possible opportunities include:

  • Assisting One Stop Student Services during registration and welcome week.
  • Assisting with graduation ceremony activities.
  • Attending presidential and community relations advancement events.
  • Traveling to college fairs, high schools, and other recruitment events.
  • Speaking to the CWI Board of Trustees, faculty/staff meetings, and other meetings or events.

Student's interested in becoming a Presidential Ambassador must:

  • Apply for consideration (a personal interview will also be required).
  • Demonstrate knowledge of CWI history and programs.
  • Demonstrate active campus and/or community involvement.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills (self-motivation, effective communication, leadership skills, etc.).
  • Have time to participate in ongoing trainings, meetings, and events.
  • Represent CWI in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Have a minimum 2.5 GPA at CWI.
  • Be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours each semester.

Faculty, staff, and community members are encouraged to nominate exceptional students to be a Presidential Ambassadors.

The Presidential Ambassadors are a diverse group of students who represent CWI. Presidential Ambassadors will promote a public understanding of the College by sharing their own CWI experiences. Presidential Ambassadors will also encourage lifelong involvement with the College.

To request Presidential Ambassador representation at a college-related event, please email ambassadors@cwi.edu. All requests must be made at least two weeks prior to the event.

  • Expectations and responsibilities â€‹of ambassadors
  • Number of ambassadors needed

The advisor will then let you know as soon as possible whether or not we will be able to fulfill your request.
