Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµÍø (CWI), in partnership with CareerStep, provide you the perfect opportunity to become a mental health technician. In this program, you receive an immersive learning experience, providing you with foundational knowledge in mental health care.
This self-paced, online program provides you an understanding of the basics of mental health, patient care, and therapeutic communication. You will learn about various mental health disorders, treatment approaches, and the role of a mental health technician in a clinical setting. This program is not only about acquiring knowledge; it is about equipping you with the skills and knowledge to pass the Mental Health Technician Certification exam through the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA).
Minimum age requirement to start this program is 18.
Care for individuals with mental or emotional conditions or disabilities, following the instructions of physicians or other health practitioners. Monitor patients’ physical and emotional well-being and report to medical staff. May participate in rehabilitation and treatment programs, help with personal hygiene, and administer oral or injectable medications.
