Yanet Nunez joined Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµÍø in October 2018 and has worked in the field of education for over seven years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with a minor in Spanish from Oregon State University and a master’s degree in Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling from Portland State University. Nunez is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a psychotherapy approach that supports healing from trauma, anxiety, and other mental health conditions by helping the brain reprocess distressing memories.
Nanez is passionate about supporting student growth and success in higher education. She enjoys helping students navigate academic and personal challenges and develop greater self-awareness and resilience. Her professional interests include creative arts therapy, integrative medicine, women’s health, transgenerational trauma, and self-compassion–based therapeutic work.
In her free time, Nanez enjoys spending time in nature, exercising, and traveling locally and internationally. She loves to discover new places and food.
