Nic Miller is the Vice President, Strategy & Operations for Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµÍø (CWI). In this role, he oversees Facilities Planning and Management, Workforce Development, and the Office of Strategic Initiatives. Prior to this role, he was the Assistant Vice President of Strategic Projects at CWI, where he established the Office of Strategic Initiatives to drive revenue growth and create new opportunities for the institution. In this role, he has led major partnerships including CWI's collaboration with Micron on their $15 billion Boise expansion and secured the college's largest competitive grant of $4.2 million from the Idaho Workforce Development Council.
Miller brings extensive experience in economic development and innovation leadership. He previously served as Executive Director of Venture College at Boise State University's College of Innovation and Design, where he built programs connecting student entrepreneurs with industry challenges and launched the nationally recognized "Hacking for Homebuilding" initiative. Prior to that, he spent five years as Director of Economic Development for the City of Boise, spearheading business recruitment efforts that brought over 1,000 high-paying jobs to the city and leading strategic real estate development projects, such as the development of the Boise Gateway Industrial Park as well as other public private partnerships on city property.
His career also includes experience at the Idaho Department of Commerce as a Business Attraction Specialist and international work as a Peace Corps Food Security Officer in Guatemala and a secondary teacher in Kazakhstan. Miller holds a B.A. in History with a minor in Political Science from the University of Idaho.
