A true Southern California Girl, Blair Baumann moved to Boise 4 years ago after deciding that teaching History and directing an athletic program at a middle school was not her “calling.” Subsequently, she headed north to experience 4 different seasons, and learn to ski and kayak. She had never intended to teach adults, but after a chance meeting at a coffee shop with someone who suggested that she interview for an adjunct position at a local college, she earned a position as a history and English adjunct, and fell in love with it!
She earned her BA in History and a Secondary Ed Teacher Credential at Cal State San Marcos, which was followed by an MS in International Relations at Troy University. She has been fortunate to teach a variety of subjects and ages, including K-3rd P.E.; 6th grade History and English; high school history; college English, History, and Political Science; ESL; and GED-prep. She will teach anything; she simply loves it!
Blair sports a year-round San Diego tan because of her love for the Outdoors… and soccer. Any free time she has is spent in a kayak, on a mountain, within a tent, behind a bike, sporting a softball glove, down the ski hill, or strapped into a pair of running shoes or soccer cleats.
