AI Literacy Center
Where CWI students have the all CWI staff and faculty have the housed in site. The AI Literacy Center is a clear access point where employees can join the conversations on AI, learn about CWI’s AI activities and advancements, and develop ideas for innovations in their area. At its core, it maintains pipelines with the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and the College's AI Committee to ensure staff and faculty have access to updates, resources, offerings, and the valuable sense of community that makes and motivates an AI-literate mindset.
The Center provides a curated learning experience for faculty and staff alike to explore opportunities for working with AI in their respective areas. In the Center, we are here for staff and faculty to talk, understand, and try:
-
To talk: This is the place to find the conversations that welcome collaboration, give space to address challenges, inspire, and relate. All will have access to upcoming events for discussing AI and guidance on where to find the discussions, workshops, webinars and more that speak to their questions.
-
To understand: It is important to know how to explore AI safely; this technology evolves rapidly and can make it challenging to understand what is considered safe and ethical usage. The Center provides a resource hub for the policies made to keep CWI's environment a secure one.
-
To try: The Center is a go-to source for building the roadmap that gets people started. With each community member's unique role, interests, and ideas, it is critical to have the Center’s support for customized curation: who to connect with, what resources and opportunities are available, and how to take the key first step.
